Top 10 tips for new youtubers in 2019 | Every youtubers should now
I’m going to tell you 10 youtube tips that every beginner needs to know. And we’re starting right now.
1st Tip for new youtubers
Now with all of that out of the way, the first tip that i have for you is, quality counts. What do i mean by that? Your video quality, your audio quality. The quality of the actual content that you are sharing on your channel. As well as how your channel graphics and your thumbnails and all that stuff looks. All of this stuff comes into play and makes people decide on if you have a channel worth subscribing to or not. So if you can, make sure that you up the quality of what it is that you’re working on. I have other videos on this channel on how to do that. So if you are not sure on how to do that, then make sure that you go check out some of the other videos about how to make videos more professional and things like that. And of course i’ll put some recommended links to some videos that you should be watching to improve your quality down in the description below. The main reason that you want your quality to be as high is it can, is not necessarily so that you can have a professional-looking video, but more so so that people on the other end, the people that are watching your videos will take your videos and the stuff that you’re making more seriously. And if your quality is high, then you have a better chance of other people wanting to collaborate with you , and other people wanting to work with you, and other people wanting to share whatever message it is that you’re trying to spread. I don’t make the rules. But unfortunately it seems that that’s just the way that it works. And that will get you more subscribers and more views and get more people interested in what it is that you are doing.
2nd Tip for new youtubers
The time that you spend on this stuff matters, so make it count. What i mean by that is, keep track of the time it takes you to record your videos. Keep track of the time that it takes to set up to record your videos. Keep track of the time that it takes you to edit your videos and find all the additional footage or photos that you need, and to write music tracks and so on. Because it’s extremely important to make sure that you are doing something or that you are working on something that’s sustainable. Let me give you an example. In the last two days, i’ve pumped out eight videos for this channel in the amount of time it takes me to do one video for my other channel. The reason for that is because the information that i share here on this channel, it’s all inside of here. Right, it all comes from experience and things that i’ve done or, you know, projects that i’ve worked on or whatever. So this channel, all the information for it, is inside of here. All our questions however, the information for that channel, i actually have to go and hunt it down. If you’re not familiar with all our questions, i’ll put a link to that in the description down below. But with that channel, i have to go and actually hunt down the information. Now i’m not saying that i don’t love making videos on that channel, i do. I’m just saying that these videos come out a lot faster. I can make a lot more videos here on this channel. I can get a lot more videos up on youtube in a lot less time because i’m a one-man show. You know i don’t have a team of working on this stuff. So i can do a lot more content on this channel, compared to the amount of time that it takes me to put out content on the other channel. If you are a subscriber of all our questions, don’t worry, i’m not abandoning that channel. All i’m saying is that i can make a lot more videos for this channel faster in the amount of time that it takes me to do just one video for that channel.
3rd Tip for new youtubers
If you’re just starting out with all of this youtube stuff, don’t worry, it gets easier and it gets faster. What do i mean by that? Okay, right now when you are putting a video together, you know in a lot of cases because of the comments that i get on my videos, people are saying that they have trouble coming up with a video idea. They have trouble editing their videos, they have trouble figuring out how to actually structure their project files, you know when they’re actually editing their videos together and things like that. Because of that, the process takes longer than it should. As you develop your work process, as you find ways to make everything a little bit more efficient, your scripting process is going to get faster, your video editing process is going to get faster. You’re going to come up with ideas faster as you learn how to research to find out what people are actually looking for. All of that stuff is going to happen faster for you as you make more videos because you’re going to streamline your process. You’re going to learn what works, what doesn’t, how to be more efficient. You know, things that are costing you time that you shouldn’t be spending time on. All of that stuff is going to make that part of it faster and easier for you. In addition to that it’s going to be easier to work with other people because people are more likely to collaborate with you if you have a catalog of videos that are getting views and they can check out the quality and the consistency of what it is that you’re doing. In fact, if you follow the tip number one about quality, then chances are in a very short time, people are actually going to be getting touch with you, wanting to collaborate with you. So that makes everything a lot easier. So rest assured that as you grow your channel, things are going to get easier for you. The process is going to get faster for you. So just hang in there, keep making videos, focus on your quality, keep track of what it is that you’re doing and things will get faster and easier for you. I promise.
4th Tip for new youtubers
If you’re not making videos for the sake of going viral, then the best foundation that you can lay for your channel is making a channel that actually helps people. Help them learn how to put on makeup. Help them learn how to make stuff at home. Help them learn how to cook. If you’re making gaming videos, you can make videos that help people get past certain parts that you may have struggled with in the past. Even if you’re making fact videos or videos like that. Or comedy. You’re helping lighten the mood of someone. So you are contributing. Think of your viewer first. If you’re making helpful content that helps your viewer in some way, then you’re going to make a really solid foundation for your channel here on youtube.
5th Tip for new youtubers
Researching your videos is going to help you grow faster. Researching the topics that people are looking for and having a channel that is interesting, is going to help you grow faster. Because, if you’re making videos that people are looking for then people are naturally going to find you easier inside of youtube search and things like that, as long as you are doing your video seo correctly and things like that.
6th Tip for new youtubers
You have to learn at the very least, the very basics of video seo. What does that mean? Seo is search engine optimization. Youtube is a search engine. So you have to learn what youtube looks for when it’s trying to serve videos to people. I’m talking tags, titles, descriptions, to better your chances or ranking inside of youtube search and google search. All of this stuff, it might seem like a lot to take in, you know when you’re first starting out. But once you get all of this stuff down, this is what i was talking about a few tips ago where i was talking about it gets easier. Once you get all of this stuff down, then everything starts rolling. You’re like, “oh, okay well i understand this.” “so now when i write my descriptions i need to do this.” ‘now when i tag my videos i need to do this.” so, you know, as you learn all of this stuff it gets easier. So don’t be overwhelmed by the stuff that i’m telling you right now. But, learning how to do your keyword research and how to title and tag and describe your videos, is huge for getting found here on youtube.
7th Tip for new youtubers
You have to promote your content. Look, if you’re making videos just for the sake of, hey, i love making videos, i love just putting videos out there, and i don’t care if anybody watches them. Well you know, that’s fine, you can do that. However, if you want a larger audience for your videos, then you have to do the research for them. You have to optimize them for search and you need to promote your videos because these are the ways that you get your videos in front of other people. If you’re new to youtube and you want to use youtube to promote your brand or your product or for some other professional reason, in that case it’s extremely important, it’s even more important for you to learn how to do this stuff and to promote your videos. Because that is how you’re going to get your videos in front of people, unless you’re running at. Whew, that just dragged on for a little bit, didn’t it? Whew, speed that up a little bit.
8th Tip for new youtubers
It’s best to have a niche or some type of specialty or a specific narrow topic that you talk about on your channel. Now a lot of new youtubers will say, “hey guys i’m doing all type of different things “on my channel.” ‘i’m doing reviews, i’m doing gaming, “i’m doing youtube tips, i’m doing makeup, “i’m doing all of this different stuff.” and because of that, when people go to their channels, they don’t know what’s really going on. You know if i go to your channel to watch a gta video, and then the next video that i watch of yours is a makeup video, or you know, a how to build cabinet video, well i’m probably going to undo my subscription because i came to your channel for gaming videos. For example, on this channel you know for a fact if you come to this channel you’re getting youtube tips, you’re getting video tips, you’re getting a tip that has to do with some type of content creation. You know that’s going to happen so that’s my narrow focus, is basically youtube tips, video tips, and tips on creating content in general. But all i’m saying is if you narrow down the topic that you’re talking about, then it gives people a specific purpose for your channel and they’re ore likely to stick around.
